Hya everyone i am going to be bringing my 4 year old pony back into work after backing schooling and turning away. I am arguing over what bit i should bring him into work in. Before he was in a normal snaffle not to thick or too thin. He has a very light mouth and salivates well...when my daughter has ridden him any contact on the rein and he throws his head up so would like something more comfy for him as i am not sure if it is the nutcracker action that he doesn't like...any comments would be gratefully received, xx

I always had my 4yo (now 5yo) in a loose ring with a lozenge, gave him something to play with and had a slightly kinder action than a single joint, I felt.
I am a huge fan of the NS bits, after trying a Team Up I never went back :)
Of course as with anything, essential checks of teeth etc should also be taken into consideration. It took a while for my boy to learn how to ride 'into' the contact, and it's only now he's 5 that we're doing 'proper' work into a contact and an 'outline'.

hya me love, yes i have had all the usual done in the last 5 months, teeth back feet and saddle, there is no reason for this other than what i can see him having a small but fleshy mouth, but i dont think he likes the nutcracker action of the jointed snaffle...if only they could talk eh lol.. i think your right, just trying him in dif bits until he finds one to suit. x
