Which body Protector gets your vote?

i had a kan and thought it was great quality but hated wearing it. Too restrictive. Got a racesafe and love it. Much more movement

I have a Kan and I really like it! The company are really good to deal with too, very helpful!
Only downside for me is that they only do them in navy or black, not personalized.

I've only worn two, my current racesafe and then those purple/blue ones everyone has as a kid. Since getting my racesafe, I don't think I'd buy anything else. It's so comfy, doesn't restrict my movement. I think it says a lot about it that I don't notice the difference when I'm wearing it to when I'm not!

I love my racesafe - I am more than a little top heavy and I can lace it to my fit rather than feeling like I am wearing an box with the more solid panels one. I tried a Kan at an event and was better than I expected but I cant justify another body protector at present. Get yourself to a good equine shop and they will let you try a mixture of styles and fits - My riend is actually a large childs rather than an adult fit because of her proportions but probably would have never entered her head to try this without a proper fitter

I had the toggi cobra one, really good. But as its about 5 years old! And numerous bad falls, it has served me well.
However think I'm going to get a race safe one. They look nice & comfy too

Airowear. It got tested out last week for the first time when I took a tumble and landed on my side. Didn't feel a thing. Also very comfy and easy to get on and off. Just make sure that whatever one you get is fitted correctly

Absolutely love my Racesafe, so lightweight and comfortable, a nice fit and also extremely protective in the case of a bad fall (as I unfortunately found out!) - Really rate them.
I tried a Kan earlier this year (had to replace past RS due to said fall!), it seemed completely bulletproof but I also found it too restrictive and felt that I couldn't really turn in it, so returned it and got another Racesafe which I'm very happy with!

As a rider that does not ride in a body protector I had to buy one for an event........it was an Airowear, I love it so much that I will be wearing it every time I jump now - so surprised how flexible and non restrictive it was.

And acts as a really great body warmer in winter too;)

I'm a big fan of Kan. I forget I'm wearing it in comparison to my previous BP. One of the reasons for buyng a Kan is that most BPs recomnd that you replace them after a few years as the material deteriorates, whereas a Kan lasts forever. Customer Service is brilliant too. Mine was knocking the back of the saddle slightly so after having spoken to Wendy, I took it YH live and she trimmed the back and made couple of other adjustements so that it fits me perfectly now.

Another vote for the Racesafes! So comfy, barely notice it's on :D

I have an airowear outlyne - I generally hate body protectors but don't mind wearing this as its quite comfy and not restrictive at all - you don't really notice it to be honest!

I do however love the look of the race safe - particularly the fact you can get them in your colours :)

Another vote for KAN TEQ. Mine was bumping the saddle too so I called Wendy and she told me how to trim it, it's so easy I just trimmed the back down with a knife and hey presto perfect length!

I am a total colour coordination junkie but even I prize safety over style when it comes to back protectors and wear a Kan even though they only come in black and blue (not the best colour - green!)

Kan all the way. I went to Burghley 3 yrs ago to buy a Racesafe and was very excited about it. Mum had read about the Kan and insisted I try it, so I did and even though I didn't want to like it as I wanted the RS, I loved it. So unrestrictive even compared to the Racesafe. Incredibly heavy to carry but once it's on you don't notice. I wear it for hacking and jumping (and schooling if I forget to take it off after a hack). When mine arrived I found it more restrictive than the one I tried on the trade stand so I put some talc over the rubber bits that touch each other under your arms, and it has glided smoothly ever since :). And I have crash tested it more than a dozen times and can confirm that I never would know afterwards that I'd fallen off as no soreness, stiffness or bruising. That to me seems incredible.

I have a Rodney Powell BP and bought the shoulders for it separately. I really like it, doesn't feel too restrictive however, now I wouldn't have a BP without shoulders
