I've upgraded my AA account to 'relay' which according to the man on the phone would get my trailer and horses home in the event of a breakdown.

Having received the terms and conditions today te small print does indeed say they will take the trailer home without horses in it - well what bloomin use is that?!?

Have called tonight to cancel the policy and get a refund.

So.......where do I go from here? I really need cover which will either get my horses home or to a stable. Not only as a precaution but my car is getting on in years and not quite reliable as it once was so I dont want to get caught short!

Who are people on here covered with? any estimates of cost and personal breakdown experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!

The RAC do it for an extra £45 on top of normal cover. Haven't taken it out myself yet so not sure how good it is

Mine's with the RAC, I use Tesco Clubcard vouchers for them to cover the family's cars and the RAC transferred my old trailer cover with Organisation of Horsebox and Trailer Owners onto their own specialist trailer cover. Luckily I haven't had to use it, but the RAC have been absolutely brilliant for various car breakdowns over the years, couldn't fault them at all.
