Which breed?

Cow/Fox/Badger poo is NOTHING, a dog that has eaten/rolled in human excrement is the most god awful thing on this planet

Oh, and all the nicest people I know own Spaniels, that says it all :D Labs are for the unimaginative :p

But Labs are sooooo boring! They are so easy to train, they never do anything wrong, they are just.........boring!!

(Sorry Toby - love you really!) but I'm afraid I would never have another - its Springers all the way for me!

I love this saying "Labradors are born half trained and Spaniels die half trained" :)

PS: to whoever mentioned moulting, black labs don't seem to moult half as much as yellows - doubt that that is scientifically proved but just my experience!

My favourite is 'Inside every well trained Spaniel is an idiot trying to get out' :D :D

I can't imagine not having a Springer. I keep looking at other breeds, quite fancy a Large Munsterlander, but I know I'll come back to a Springer! :D

A dalmatian is the best, no contest!:DLabs are soooo boring (we did have a lab while I was young and he was the best lab EVER. Lab Mafia he was from the Sandylands kennel(sp) and I have never thought to google it, do you know it ? I know he cost alot as my mother never shut up about it !) Anyway dallies rule though I have wondered about a standard poodle or a Borsoi but things like hairdressers are then needed and its a whole new ball game !!

Kirstyhen and Spudlet where the ***** do you walk to have that delight:eek::eek:!!!

That's nasty!!!!

Well after taking my friends v well behaved terrier for a walk this morning, along with 3 labs, a springer x and a hand bag Heinz variety dog, the terrier firmly confirmed my thoughts on small annoying dogs by rolling continually in what ever she found. Luckily it wasn't too smelly but she was the ONLY one of 6 dogs to do it!!! She is v cute tho.

Hand bag dog and 2yr old Lab do both seem to have a 'special' interest in the oldest (11yr old) Lab tho which is odd cos they're all boys!

This is all I have to say on the matter.

Labs are lovely (sp) I have one but he does moult all year round and is a bit big, he seems to like lieing and standing in the way usually door ways.
We also have a JRT and Yorkshire Terrier which are nice sizes, I was house/dog sitting 2 Cocker Spaniels last week and have decided if/when i can get another dog it will be a Cocker Spaniel.
ETS - I also really like Weimaraners but they are again quite big.

Staffies all the way. Horribly misunderstood with the wrong crowd... they are proper country dogs, active terriers and terrific clowns. Oh and massive cuddle monsters as well! Wouldnt change for another breed as want to reclaim these dogs so they can be the dogs they are meant to be..

Only had 1 experience of fox poo. Scarred me for life as I didn't know (then) that the very last thing you do is put water onto it as it makes the smell ten x worse. Dog and I were not on speaking terms on the 45 minute journey back home....

I think I have the best idea- one of each!! A GSD, a springer, a terrier type mix, 2 labx collies- one who's is very much a lab and the other very much a collie! A great variety and you never get bored!!

Ahem, two words - Border Collie.

They're sharp, quick witted, athletic, can turn their paw to practically anything and always go that extra mile (or in the case of my two several extra miles)

Sandylands = fab kennels IMO, my Barney had some Sandylands lines in him, and he was a fab dog :)

Henry snacked on some human poop in the woods once - it was simply delightful:eek:
