which calmer is best

which is the best calmer to use super calmer or magnesium as i have a very nervous horse she is jumpy and scared as she has been miss treated in her past

Personally I have tried various calmers on my mare and non have worked. I have tried magnesium based ones (as well as just mag itself), and tryptophan based ones. The best results I have had was naff magic, which amazed me. The reason I gave this was that after sum research it said the best product for my horses type of nevervousnes was hops, and this us the main ingredient in magic. So I am going to try her on brewers yeast now as it has hops in and is cheaper. I have also used regumate from the vet and it was worth every penny. If brewers yeast doesn't work I will b going down this path again. X

Exact same situation with my mare, I use steady up, and she is a different horse. It's a difficult one as it can be a bit hit and miss.

I use steady-up on my mare as well and she is much better!
