Which class to enter....

OK - there's a showcross next weekend I want to have a go at.

Ned is jumping Disco BSJA but we have done very little XC together (though he is a bit of a machine - well, a tank, actually)

My class options are 80cm or 1m.

Now I can't very well jump the 80cm as I think that would be unfair, but I am a bit

at the 1m XC.

What do you reckon... ?
I think I'm going to just have to grin, point, kick & hold on tight!

80cm, don't enter something which you think might worry you, do the smaller class to be on the safe side and to get some confidence, and then move up next time

I'd go for the 80cm if your not happy about doing a bigger XC might as well go into something different and enjoy it than be totally cacking it and overface your horse...best of luck

Yes but how is that fair on everyone else? A BSJA combination in an 80cm?

I think entering the 80cm is PERFECTLY reasonable if you are uncomfortale with 1m XC, Ban will merrily jump round a newcomers track but gets nervy over 2'6" XC fences!

Might do the 80 then - I just feel like it is tiny really.

I am not nervous about the XC, just a bit rusty.
Hmmm.. still undecided.
