Which Clip (sorry) ?

If you have a cushings pony that is hot because it is so hairy, then I would start with a bib clip, and if you have them, try using coarse clippers. You can always take off a little more coat if the pony is still too hot.

Just wondering why you would remove the coat from her legs?

I would have thought if she's getting too hot or uncomfortable then you would remove it from areas where she sweats such as her neck and body?

if she has cushions then options A and B wont really help her. at this time of year i would only recommend either a hunter (legs on) or a full clip (every thing off) and rug accordingly, day to day. she wont moult if she has extreme cushions and will be getting itchy and sweaty now.

my old loan horse had cushings, he was clipped all summer, he had a trace clip about this time (didnt like rugs so tried to wait until end of april we just brushed him very well to get out hair until then), and then as it got much warmer he had a full clip, usually twice over the summer, he was never that much of an issue in winter aslong as his last full clip was late september.
