Hello!
I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on which Country Boots to buy!? I just want them for dossing around in really. I love the Dubarry Galway boots but they're so expensive unless anyone knows where you can get them a bit cheaper!? I also like the Dublin River boots, but I was just wondering if anyone knew of other good ones that won't break the bank (i'm a student) Also, if anyone knows any that I should stay well clear of then i'd appreciate that - as they will get a lot of use!
Thanks! x

Search for Just Togs Denver Country Boots on Ebay and they'll come up.

Brand new, £49.00. I couldn't afford any others because of the price and lets face it, they just end up getting ruined at some point!

I love them! Really lovely fit, look good, super comfy. I wear them to ride, go walking and just on a general basis out and about :)

I'm looking at the Ariat Windermeres atm. They are on Equestrian Clearance for a silly amount of money.
I've heard the Dublin Riverboots are a bit rubbish and don't bother with the K*ty boots at all - I bought a pair after killing my Dubarry's by not looking after them properly and they fell apart after just a few months!

My River’s lasted 6 months, not happy at all with them. BUT unlike my next boots they didn’t come with a shoe horn or trees and possibly they might have lasted a little longer if I had been advised to use the above. I also found that when used on a yard they NEVER scrubbed up nicely after about the first week.

Currently I have Ariat Glaciers, bought last Autumn, last week I scrubbed the mud off them and wore them in the office during the week of the snow (and erm, they might have been worn to a couple of nice restaurants too).

I love them because I have silly stick legs and with the laces I can tighten them up to fit. Really warm in the cold, not sweaty in the heat, comfy enough for dog walking, lovely lovely to ride in.

The Lakeland boots (K*ty) on Equestrian Clearance are brilliant. They are either £54.99 or £59.99 but they are like slippers and very hard wearing. I have had mine for years. In fact I have three pairs in all the colours they do. :D They are also smart enough for a trip to the shops.

I've got the ariat windermere's off equestrian clearance and love them, have toggi canyons for the yard and like them too, the foot size is rather large though, I'm usually a 5.5 and the 5's have plenty room.

I got 5.5 in the Ariats but could have easily got away with a 5, I'm usually a 5 and a half or so. Just compared them to the toggi's which are a 5 and I stuffed a fluffy insole in them and with tights and 32 pairs of socks on aren't tight so would say fairly generous.

Another vote to steer clear of Dublin River boots. I love the styling and they are very comfortable, but they leak very quickly, and split, and the lining comes out above the heel so you end up with it UNDER your heel.... I've had 3 pairs in 4 years and won't bother again.

Tuffa boots, sheepskin lined and so warm! They are very comfortable but do come up very large, I am 4.5 and my boots are 3!! They are excellent in icy conditions and waterproof. Look on EBay where you will be able to pick up a bargain ;) but def a well made boot that will last years!

Don't have them so not sure on the longevity of the boots, but I love the fit of the hkm belmond boots, and they're very similar to the dubarrys, but considerably cheaper.

I've got some HKM boots that look a lot like the dublin's and they're fab :) durable, comfy, great for riding in ....... And the best bit is they look expensive but they're only 50ish! :)

The dubs are fab. I know they're pricey so perhaps try the ones on eBay? I can't remember the make but I remember when I was looking for them these got really good reviews. They done them in brown suede and I'm sure blue suede too.

I have kanyon country boots. Had them a year past Christmas and they are still waterproof with no cracks in the leather or anything!

They are the best boots I've had, better than Dublin river and ariat grasmeres imo x

i would suggest ariat coniston boots .....they are quite expensive but really water proof so they are worth it :D:D
i got river boot and my feet were wet through tthe first day i wore them

I know everybody hates them but i have dublin river boots and i swear to god i hardly take them off. I've worn them riding, shopping, on the yard and at work. Too comfortable to take off. They've been through the wars in my poached fields covered in mud. I wore them completly through the snow and i cycle in them. Not had a problem.

Hi i can recomend the Chiruca Chealsea Gor-Tex Boot looks just like the dubarry galway it is gore-tex like the dubarry and only costs £199 i got my mum some from my local saddlery leonard coombe, she walks her dogs miles everyday in them and loves and them. just check and they have them online.

Toggi Canyons. Wear mine to death. Work, yard, riding, shopping etc. I always get complimented on them, too. Sooo comfy.
