Just wondered what your thoughts are on this - What do you prefer to use pellets, powder or liquid supplements?
Please feel free to add comments on which you prefer to use/why/ease etc.
Looking forward to seeing the results!

Pellets, as can be fed alone. Powder tends to stick to the buckets so not all eaten and liquid needs to be put onto some other feed that will absorb it or it too stays on the bucket. Of course if you have a really fussy eater it may take none of these.....

Powders because they're cheaper, would prefer liquids or pellets if they were all the same price. I used to have my mare on a powdered general purpose supplement and have just changed to a pelleted balancer, as the powder kept blowing away across my field in the wind! Maiden LOVES the pellets though.

Just to be awkward

I don't care what form the supplement takes....but I have to be able to see all the ingredients...before I'll buy it (there's so much dodgy stuff out there) and it has to be palatable to the horse...which many aren't.

Depends what I am using and why. Have been known to start off with liquid during a loading period as is absorbed quicker then after that move on to powder.

TBH not that fussed if the product does the job.

Yes, agree with this.
Prefer liquid because it absorbes quicker, but powders tend to be cheaper.

Absolutely - Any decent (and law abiding) supplement will have the ingredients on the labels - Ours only include top quality ingredients at rates recommended by vets and nutritionists

Thanks for the votes - that makes for really interesting reading - Hmmm... *kate puts her thinking cap back on*
You'll find out soon enough - but it's quite exciting!

I use powder - the Super Codlivine for LadyMuck, I would say it is easier in powder form to measure and cleaner as you can keep the scoop in the bucket. Mind you, you can get the liquids that you squeeze into the measure ....

Sorry for the waffle

I wasn't having a go....I just would never feed any supplement without knowing what was in it....could be powdered rat tails otherwise...

If your product is the one I think it is...then I couldn't find the ingredients without buying it (online, I think) first. Obviously I wouldn't do that....so please put ingreds and any science on your website too.
And while I'm being demanding

QR - powder but in individual sachets (say 1=pony, 2=horse) a la Thoroughbred Remedies....accurate dosing, no spilt supp. pots & idiot proof. Also most people seem to feed a tiny bit over the level scoop or whatever the measure is so pot never lasts as long as it's supposed to.
