Out of all the Dressage riders in the sport who is your favourite and why?

Mine is Carl Hester Why because I belive that he is a true horseman his position is falutless and the way he rides its to many a goal/dream to acheive Also the way he brings on his youngster's and producing them to thier best is outstanding. to me he is my personal best Dressage rider out of all and I wish him luck with his career and his horses.

Claire Ballentyne.

Works with any horse. Produces amazing results and holds don a stunning yard. She gets up at 6 the muck out and school.

Shes an amazing teacher, a very balenced and talented rider and very FAIR!

For a dressage rider in the spotlight I would say Carl Hester because he really seems to get his horses working for him even a horse that starts off looking average ends up looking fantastic. Whats more he believes even average horses can be trained to at least medium.

I also really rate Gill (or is it Jill) Davison, she is so tiny but what a lovely rider.

Ditto I think carl is an excelent rider and trainer.

Sasha Stewart *dressage queen!* Owns some lovely horses that carl rides... (Lecantos, Bicachu and the gorgeous Utopia!)
Such a lovely girl, has brilliant way with the horses and so talented! So Inspirational

Jennie Loriston-Carke, As I'm so rubbish at dressage I think they'll all brilliant but J.L.C. is the best for me

I was going to say Carl Hester - he also believes in letting his horses be horses, he hacks them out regularly and gives them plenty of turnout .... but then I saw you'd put Jennie Loriston-Clarke. I saw her do a demo at Your Horse Live a few years ago ( in fact before it was Your Horse, it was just the Equine Event). She was brilliant, as well as being very entertaining! I could have watched her for hours, in fact she spurred on my interest in dressage.

I couldn't pick just one, as I like aspects of a lot of riders and trainers. Jennie is just an amazing lady, I've watched her teach once and watched a demo and she is such a down-to-earth person. Never seen her ride though so not much use for this post!
If ever I feel I need to correct my position (usually when persuading myself to sit taller) I always say "I am Carl Hester" in my head! I've watched him at YHL these past two years and I have both of his books. Just an amazing rider and an amazing trainer.
I once went to a Pammy Hutton demo. Apart from being utterly terrified of the lady (and I was sat in a crowd!) I really did think she was fantastic. Again very practical and no-nonsense, and she rode Amanti to music at the end of the demo which was lovely to watch.
One other dressage rider who I always love watching ride, especially to her current kur, is Kyra K. I love how her one-handed pirouettes are actually better than her two-handed ones

I found her far easier to watch than Anky last year at Olympia.

Its impossible to choose just one. I love Emma Hindle, she has a real connection with her horses and does a fantastic job with them. I also love Isabell Werth.

I also think Laura B is so inspirational, she has achieved so much, works really hard and deserves the results she gets.
