I'm currently getting a silica sand and fibre arena installed but unsure on which fibre would be best. There's so many! Any recommendations appreciated.
i was at a riding school today who had just topped up with carpet fibre. It looked a total mess but the school is very pleased with it. They tell me several NH trainers have it on their gallops.
We got ours from Valley Equestrian who supply Charles Britton and Martin whoever it is, labelled as clopf.
It's great, it was rotavated in 3 times using a hand rotovator (thanks dad!) And you can tell there's fibre there but it doesn't blow or anything and is mostly incorporated into the sand. It's mainly cream carpet, shredded from new offcuts. The sand took a while to settle before we put the fibre on but a good lot of rain sorted it. We try and Harrow it once a week, and it's only me and my sister using it, probably less than 10x a week between us.
I'm pretty sure it was the premier, we went to the factory and watched the guy endlessly feeding in offcuts of carpet lol. We got 16 bales for our 20 x 40.
