Which field?

My horse has had a tendon injury which is now healed and had inflamation in the coffin joints of both front legs from an injury last May. Cortisone injections given approx 2 months ago mean she is now sound and is doing some trot work with canter recently introduced. The vet then said she could go back out in a normal field as she's sound (was previously in pen in a field). She has been in a small paddock with another pony but can no longer stay in there.
There are 2 options:
1) field with a horse she is used to and one she has met whilst in small pen
2) field with small pony youngsters
(Mine is 14.2/3hh).

My dilema is that the yard I'm at is already quite expensive with costs increased not so long ago and I've got a temporary contract. If I put her in with option 2 - youngsters my friend can put her out in the mornings for free but I don't know if she'd start bossing the smaller ponies and they canter around quite a bit. Option one, field with her old field mates would mean I would have to pay someone to put her out daily but they don't move around much. My pony is quite lively and will canter around to some extent whichever field she's in. Which do you think?

My initial thoughts would be option one as there sounds like there would be fewer horses to get wound up and start running around, plus she already knows them well so might be a more calmer field. The youngsters can obviously get fired up and more playful, more prone to stop/starting/play etc?
