Which girth?

I'm just about to bring my 5 year old back into work after a couple of months off, and I need to get a new girth for his GP saddle. The one I have currently is just a basic aerborne elasticated waffle one, but I bought this for his first saddle (which I had to change after 2 months because he grew lots!) and its never been the best fit with the new saddle I've got him now as the end of the girth padding overlaps the bottom of the saddle flaps and I feel like there is too much "thickness" where my legs sit. (If that makes any sense?) Also the elastic is starting to go wrinkly and it doesn't seem like it fits very well now ....so basically it's an excuse to go shopping!! (and hubby somehow managed to win over £100 on a fruit machine last week - so I've offered to help him spend it!)

Does any one have any suggestions/ recommendations for me please? He's not a difficult neddy to tack up, but as a youngster I don't want to ever get to the situation where he could have any excuses to become difficult due to a bad choice of girth. I would like something which is nice and comfy, wide and secure. I did think about a humane girth, but I've heard that these can put too much pressure on a narrow area?

I'm happy to spend (hubby's!) winnings, but the less I spend the better!
