Been looking on excellent www.vetuk.co.uk for supplement for dog's arthritis. Want to get a really good one as don't think one I'm currently using is very good. But there are so many to choose from. Can any of you recommend one to me. Can't make up my mind! Thanks.

Our vet recommended Seraquin to us, to try and slow the onset of arthritis when we had our greyhound's leg amputated - very sadly we were unable to keep her to her old age (divorce

) so I cant report on its effectiveness, but I assume it is a good one since our trusted vet recommended it

I use Synoquin after a recommendation from a friend who used it on her Irish Wolfhound. It's excellent in my opinion.

I use the human Glucosamine 400mg and Chondritin from healthydirect.com. It was really effective for my old chap who's been on it for a over a year now. Its very reasonably priced. 360 tabs for £16

I would highly recommend Cosequin which is one of the newer ones on the market. It has replaced Synoquin with the advancement in Glocosamine and Chondroition.

Its uses human grade glucosamine and chondroition but there is a big difference in the size of the molecules. This means that they are small enough to go through the gut membrane and into the system rather than it going out through the other end as some cheaper products do.

Gallop on can you explain a bit, I still buy Synoquin and my vet said it was the same as Cosequin, in what way has it replaced it and how is it better?

thanks! I need to order soon and want to make sure I am getting the best!
