Hi, I have recently started competing at affiliated dressage - only novice level - and so far have worn my skull cap with a velvet cover. I'd like to treat myself to a new hat and wondered which hats are popular these days? I wear a navy show jacket with a cream stock if that makes any difference? What does everyone else like? Would be glad of your opinions please. Thank you.

If you like more modern styles, I'd vote for the UVEX, or if your budget is high the KEP hat. Alternatively, for something inbetween modern and more traditional hats, I really like the Champion Ventair or Champion Evolution.

I love the Charles Owen Showjumper XP. Believe me when I say I throughly tested out my (old) one. Think major bucking bronco fit at the gallop, landing right on my head on very hard ground! Yes I was knocked out, and had an almightly concussion. However without that hat I doubt I would be sitting here typing this! I went straight out and bought a new one (which thankfully I have yet to test)!
