Which hat?

Decided I really need to buy myself a new riding hat, I have an old Pikeur GPA but this morning when I went to put it on I was horrified to see a maggot in it YUCK

It also smells disgusting too.
I have 2 smart hats for competing so just need a nice cheap every day hat, preferably a vented one.
Any ideas?

Champion ventair is fab if it fits... sometimes you have to let the hat fit you rather than go out knowing what you want! Id go to a big warehouse type place and try on and see what fits you best! also i dont acrually find that the vented hats make you much cooler... this is just my opinion though!

Oooo Champion Vent air are fabb! I actually wear my crash hat for my lesson, its lovely and cool

Charles Owen hats don't tend to fit me, but Champion one's do.
Are the vented one's very expensive?

I dont think so, I have a Champion head, rather than a Charles Owen one.

Maybe it's the amount of hair I have, but I don't find the venting on the Champion hat helps at all. Still have a very sweaty head at end of lesson. guy in shop pointed out it would have to be vented like a colandar to do any good!

I love my Champion Ventair too, it's really comfortable. I i dont think it helps keep you that much cooler, but i find there is a bit of a difference.

I have a Dublin Onyx which was £35. Ventilated, and has PAS015 1998 and BSEN1384 1997 standards. Comfy and you don't even need a silk as it has a detachable peak.
