Theres a whole new range of products since I last had horses :D

My question is, do I want moisturiser or hardner?!

Our main issue is losing shoes. His feet break at the bottom. Front shod only.

Firstly you want to look at the diet, then consider if you have infection as that will change what to use topically

Thanks - he has stud balancer, as recommended by Baileys. Been on it since beginning of May. Should I give it a bit more time?

Infection? I don't think so? Farrier not mentioned anything?

A lot of shod horses have a low level of white line disease, so many that a lot of farriers kind of think of it as normal/nothing to speak to the owner about but worth asking them.
Why stud balancer? It wouldn't be my choice of ingredients You need a high spec low iron option - forageplus/prohoof (eBay), equimins adv complete, equivita.

That's what they recommended. I didn't want a feed as such, just a vitamin supplement. Absolutely didnt to ant anything with energy. Topspec sent him a bit loopy.

The ones I listed are high spec vitamin supplements and the equimins comes pelleted. I would never take feed advice from a fee company.

You wont go wrong in using Kevin Bacon a few times a week on them, I prefer the oil, but the grease is fine (except in winter when freezing).

Second this^^

One of mine has been coming in onto shavings for the day, feet became very dry and chipping off (All this dry weather probably wasn't helping either)
Farrier came out for appointment, went to his van and gave me a tin of Kevin Bacon
Feet look so much better and the chipping seems to have stopped, I put it on a few times a week
