Hi can anyone recommend a good reliable horse insurance that is not too expensive at the same time? I have a quote from Petplan and I know several people have told me that they are good but I thought they were a bit pricey....any advice and info would be much appreciated,

Thank you

Everyone will prob tell you different experience's they have had, but I can only go on mine, we use NFU and have had no problems with them. My girl fractured her leg and they were very helpfull with the claim and the bills were paid without question. But with all insurance companies some people do have different views on them depending on how they were treated

I am with petplan, and will stay with them, yes they are pricey but they are very reliable and the excess is less than most other quotes i had

KBIS without a doubt.
Been with them for years, premiums are sensible and the people very nice to deal with, know what you're talking about which helps - oh and claims are settled very quickly too without any hassle which is the main thing. Have heard lots on here about how slow NFU are at paying up lately too.

I have 1 with NFU and 2 with Petplan. NFU have been brilliant with claims.

I haven't had to claim from Petplan. I have also heard that premiums have shot up this year, my renewal is due Sept with NFU.

SEIB have been brilliant with my claims over the last year. My vet tells me that KBIS are also good.

Mine are with petplan. My mare had to have colic surgery last autumn and they paid out the maximum payout no quibbles at all and very quickly. I have had several other claims too and again they have been good.
