i have a dilemma, i have 3 horses which OH has said is far too many
, i have a girl who rides the ginger twit on weekends and school holidays so he's sorted.
I have a 17hh mare who is 90% of the time quite steady but can have her moments, she will hack alone but can be a bit spooky so you have to be quite confident and get after her a bit or she'll take the p
She can still jump and will even do dressage at a push, but unless the loanee had access to a lorry they wouldn't be able to compete as girly won't travel in a trailer.
Other option is ex racer 16hh gelding who i have only had since feb and up until a few weeks ago was mostly ridden by the old sharer until i felt he was getting too out of hand with her. He doesn't like hacking alone but is great in company, loves jumping and ODE'd with previous owner. he does have a bit of a temperamental tendon behind but if he's warmed up, cooled down properly and only worked at his level of fitness he's fine, i would be fine with him competing and he travels great.
I'll be looking for an adult to share/loan this time and they could ride as often as they liked and ideally i'd like a minimum of 3 days a week otherwise horse won't be kept fit enough, but i don't know which horse to offer!!
Would you be put off if there was an ad offering the option of either?
