So, I'm looking at getting rid of the old rice trailer and getting a shiny new trailer!

What are everyones reccomendations? Anything other than Ifor williams?!

Bateson Ascot - best trailer on the market. Light, strong, very very cool inside on hot summers days, integrated tack locker, MODERN suspension, anti-theft devices on the hitch. Brilliant trailer, I miss mine so much.

I upgraded my old 505 for a Richardson Advance Supreme. Love it! So quiet, light and roomy inside. Love the big wide ramp for offloading and the lifetime guarantee on the plastic floor.

Wouldn't buy anything else now.

ETA: Heard lots of good things about the Batesons, but personally I really dislike the paint job. White and yellow......does nothing for me. I'm so shallow. Love my black trailer.

Richardson Advance Surpreme is wider and longer in the horse area than the Ascot but 2 inches less head room.

Interesting thread, I'm starting to consider buying another trailer and although I had an Ifor 510 Classic in the past, I've heard such good things about the Batesons that I'm going to have a look at them, plus they are very reasonably priced!

Another vote for Bateson. The Ascot is a great model, it has the tack locker in the front but don't discount the Deauville Model. It has similar dimensions, still has a couple of saddle & bridle racks in the front, all running gear is the same & it's Bateson's best seller. Both will carry up to 17h with ease, it has a lower centre of gravity than the Ifors, the floor is actually lower & it tows like a dream.

I've used both but actually bought the Deauville, using it for 4 years & only recently sold mine as I needed a lorry with living. They really are one of the best around in my opinion & they hold their value really well (I only lost £300 in 4-5 years of ownership)

Just to say - the batesons are painted white to be cooler in the summer.

A girl on my yard insisted on a black ifor to match her black 4x4, it was bloody sweltering inside! Her horse would refuse to do anything at a show, because the poor thing would be swaying on its knees with heat exhaustion!

Blimey! This is a minefield! Bateson seems to be the favourite at the moment! I'm gonna scurry off and do some more research now!
