Hunt meet at ours on Saturday. Was going to take Oshka but my trainer is trying a horse for Jo and has asked if I want to take her grey as she needs hunting.
This meet was going to be a wind down for oshk, I want him to have one or two meets before I TC him, but he has a sore mouth, and after his dangerous antics last week im not so sure. I want to hunt him but I might not enjoy him if he is being a pain, but I cant stand the thought of him being left at home whilst the others hunt.
Bec's grey is a mannerly hunter and easy enough to get on with, no quirks, but Im not sure what I should do

Thing is he has had the sore mouth for a long time, my Eq.dentist has said to put piles cream (

) on it and until he is out it wont properly heal- he chews his mouth in the winter.

Yea I would second peperation H gel. Make sure its the gel though put a protective barrier on it.

I would take the grey. Thats my choice anyway, im sure he will be fine missing one hunt, you got more havent you so you can take him to them. Its not the end of the world

Thats what mine said aswell aparently it works wonders! Sorry not much help with the hunting.

You know yourself whether your horse is fit to go out or not. If both horses in your mind are fit then take the one you'll have most fun on. You've got a few more days to assess the situation, see how your horse is and if you can delay giving your trainer an answer do so. At the end of the day though (and I hate that expression!) you need to be safe while you're having fun. I don't know anything about hunting so this might be a mad question but are you thinking of taking your horse to this one because you know the route and that it will be the safest one for the rest of the season?

WeeBrown you just made my mind up. Thinking about this now, my horse knows his own way around our land he decides where to canter, he is rude on a hack, so this definately isnt the best one to get him out to is it? x

take who ever you fancy chick but bear in mind that Oshk needs to be fit for TCing. Mums got ours on a fitness program!

Would be a nice change to take Hannah I guess though? Not as exciting tho!
