Was just wondering if anyone on here knows which hunt organises the meet at Euston on Boxing Day and is anyone going? I keep my horse across the road from there and as I've got Murphy coming home for Christmas I'd love to give him a treat as he loves hunting. It makes a nice change from dressage too. Any help appreciated! :smirk:

Sad thing is I have to work a full day on Xmas eve. Have emailed Suffolk Hunt but it wont open on my Yahoo which is being a b*tch at the mo. Guess if the EH are there on Christmas eve then thats it for Euston. Sad as I don't get Murph home often these days and as I have no transport anymore then the meet at Euston with whoever was there would have been perfect. Wish I was off on Christmas Eve.

The CA normally publishes a list of hunt meets on Boxing Day either late in November or early in December, but does not appear to have done so yet. You should therefore keep a weather eye out on the CA website.

However no Boxing Day Meet was listed by the CA as taking place at Euston Hall in 2003, 2004, 2005 or 2006. (That of course does not necessarily mean that one did not take place there, since, even before the ban, the list was far from complete.

Of the local packs, the Suffolk met at Hawstead Place Farm on Boxing Day last year, the West Norfolk at Fakenham Racecourse & the Dunston Harriers at Market Place, Wymondham. (In fact the Dunston meet did not appear on the CA list!) The one local pack whose Boxing Day meet last year, I cannot account for, is the Granta Harriers.

Curiously, what one might imagine to be the ducal pack, the Grafton hunts in Northants. & its Boxing Day meet is always at at Easton Neston/Towcester Racecourse.

If there was a Boxing Day meet at Euston Hall last year, it may of course have been one of beagles, but I cannot think which pack, or, hardly conceivable, an unregistered pack.

Cheers beagle will go off and have a look for beagle packs, I've only been out with foxhounds and bloodhounds and thought beagles only went on foot. A work colleague did say that there was usually a hunt there as she hands round the port as her dad is one of Euston's estate staff, she doesn't really have enough interest in hunting to be able to say which pack it is. Will have to dig some more or try to book Christmas Eve off as a holiday.
