Which hunt?

At the grand old age of 44 I want to achieve a life ambition - experience riding with the hunt! My lovely cob has never been hunting, he is brave and trust worthy so I am hoping he would look after me. He is happy to jump, but not too big. We therefore need a gentle introduction - I think a full on days hunting is beyond both of us at the moment. But which one? I am in north somerset, I think my local hunt is The Mendip Farmers. Or is it Weston & Banwell Harriers. Could anyone recommend an appropriate hunt for me to contact?

Have a look at the MFHA website, it will help you to find your local pack.

Bear in mind that most packs are out Autumn Hunting now, which is usually very slow, no/limited jumping and ideal for introducing you and your horse.

Give your local Secertary a ring, s/he will be able to help you more.
