A light / Medium weight Cob. I am backing T-T and the girth we have is done right up so now on the hunt for one which is comfortable (as it can be) for him. There are so many different one's out there, some people say elastic ones make the saddle slide on fatties and I don't want to waste ££ :o

The down side is I have a max budget of £50 and it must be brown to match everything else :rolleyes:

Any ideas would be great thanks xx
 
i agree with Maggy-may... they're good girths, easy to look after, fairly inexpensive and last forever. In faact, i just sold 2 on ebay that were about 6 years old (only sold as now need a close contact (short) girth!
 
I use the stubben string girth on my welsh cob and that stops his saddle from slipping and applys equal amount of pressure across whole of girth rather than just the two bits like most other girths

I swear by these girths, easy to keep clean (strip off the back and chuck in a bucket), nice and wide, elastic both ends, I have had mine years and looks brand new. I have a kissing spines horse and when he broncs he broncs, the saddle has never moved even when I have been ejected! Local guy who starts horses swears by them as they allow the horse to breathe and not feel trapped
