I dont live anywhere near Surrey but the best thing to do is find their websites to get an idea of what sort of things they do. For example, some clubs are more for training whereas others are fierce competition ones! And some are more a "dressage" crowd than SJ etc. etc.
elstead and bookham both have their own fields and jumps
elstead is near godalming and bookham is near pachesham in leatherhead
I'm in bookham and we are a nice bunch
elstead are our big 'enemies' in team competitions
elstead are bigger in the sense that they have a junior section which bookham don't by choice as our open shows are open to all ages
both have websites if you google
chipstead has no perm. ground and if you have an old lorry their venues are sometimes within the new London low emissions zone which could cost you £200 per day to enter
I belong to Limpsfield Riding Club, but this maybe a little too far from you. The summer dressage series is being held at Hilders, Edenbridge. Most of the clinics are in Oxted or Edenbridge. It's a really friendly club with lots to do
I live 15 mins away from those places! I am in the Petersfield Pony Club, which is good if you are a like 5-25 years old coz theres more to learn than doing shows (eg lessons, theory ect) Theres Pony Clubs all over the place! I was in the counties corner riding club, but they are only really little shows. Elstead is good, been in that, I think its mostly show-jumping and occasionally hunter trials
