Ok, so horse is recovering from a fetlock injury thing and vet has recommended putting him on a joint supplement as I don't want to infiltrate the joint

SO! Question, which one?

I've used Cortaflex in the past and thought it was good but vet said not so much?!

He's on Superflex now, so trying that out....

Any other suggestions?

Well, my friend who's a NAF rep would say theirs is the only 'proven' and tested supplement but I use the stuff from Feedmark - is that the superflex that you're using? I did use Topspec 10:10 before that but it's quite expensive really so I just thought I'd try another as it has all the same components in and they deliver within a day so its very handy. I feed it more as a prevengtatove though as noe of mine have any diagnosed arthritic changes so I have no way of saying whether it's any good!

My friend used Cortaflex last year for her arthritic pony, moved over to naf cos it was cheaper and pony has gone lame again.

Only time will tell if it's just a matter of timing (weather turning colder and wetter) or now that she's gone back onto Cortaflex will he get better again.

Another one for Super-flex....I used it for an injury and it was great then recently started it back up as she is getting older and I feel better her having it. I also use Green Lipped Mussels as well.

My gelding was very creaky and we tried several joint supplements with him before trying the cortaflex and not looking back! He did have to be on the HA version, but the improvement was incredible. I briefly switched to naf's superflex as I was struggling to afford the cortaflex every month and they're supposed to be quite similar, but he was stiff again in a matter of days so went back onto the cortaflex. Have heard good things about Supplease but not tried it myself x

I'v just started using maxaflex (green lipped mussel), heard some really good things about it, fingers crossed my two arthritics will become less stiff!
