Which light weight rug?

Hi All

Im after some advice. Obviously, its starting to get warmer during the day, so i'm after a light weight, that is actually waterproof. Its for a very light weight TB who is narrow chested, and takes a 6ft.
Which would you reccomend? She currently has a weather beater rain sheet...... but it doesn't do as it says on the label (as in its not waterproof)

Thank you in advance

Kerry xx

Rambo / Rhino wug lightweight. Always found them excellent and the V chest is good for TB as it doesn't rub and moves with their big shoulders. I had a fal LW with the front surcingle type fastening for my TB few yrs ago and she popped the front fastenings off in 2 days. Rambo has stood up to 6 yrs of abuse and does its job.

My Mark Todd is good although they get incredibly heavy when soaked, and then take ages to dry. I like Weatherbeeta too but if you don't like yours, the only other type of rug I would ever go for (well, that does a proper lightweight with no fill) are the Horseware ones. We have loads of them at work and they have always been tough, waterproof, warm or cool depending on what fill they have, etc.

I have got the Amigo with no fill and it is very good. It is waterproof and 1200 denier so hasn't ripped so far. It dries out pretty quickly too.

I have had my Jumpers Horseline lightweight turnout for 6 years now, and its wonderful! They're not expensive, and my mare is very slight, and also a 6ft, but it fits her an absolute treat!

We sell quite a few of the Jmpers Horseline l/w, I think they are £42.95 (but don't quote me!)

That sounds about right! I live pretty much next door to the main supplier of them, so as you can imagine I have a fair few Jumpers!
