I was gona say topspec topchop lite but mine didn't like it so iv moved onto alan and page L mix which is the lowest sugar/starch I can find. It's cereal and molasses free and the ponies love it. ( looks like rabbit food) but iv got tb, exmoor, cob on it and all stuff it down which is good
I've stuck with Hi FI Lite, I did try the non molassed version, but found that it doesn't go as far, is more expensive anyway and slightly moire calorific (which I don't need.)
I've also recently bough some Pegasus chaff labelled as low sugar, but it is horribly sticky and horse isn't keen.
I use either HiFi unmolassed, Mollichaff HiFibre Alfalfa (which is very similar to HiFi Lite but without molasses) and also a plain unmolassed chaff which comes from Leigh Animal Feeds. They are all good but for value I've yet to beat the Mollichaff.
Im using healthy hooves and hi fi lite, healthy hooves is a complete feed but it doesnt give them enough energy for competiting so gets added oats and comp mix, but the chaff is brilliant with it being specifically for hoof improvement i've noticed a slight difference and he hasnt put on any weight since being on it and he much prefers it i think to just having the hi fi lite
I fed Happy Hoof for a long time and didnt' notice any improvement in his feet, am feeding Alfa A Lite and have done for a while and his hooves are great, they used to crumble in the dry weather but have been great the last 2 summers
