Those who feed their horses oats - which type do you use?

I'm looking to try some but there are so many varieties - rolled, naked, bruised, tiger?

I'm leaning towards tiger oats as they also contain a balance but wondered what others use?

I use Tiger Oats for our GP dressage horse. It makes him lively but manageable :)!! I feed my cob rolled oats to just give him a bit of sparkle, on vets advise. Hope this helps. :)

Thank you very much.

It's for a cob. Are tiger oats more or less effective them - just wondering why you use different product for the two horses.

Can I ask where you get your rolled oats - can you just feed them as they are or do they require soaking etc?

Most feed merchants will sell your rolled / bruised oats, which are quite economical.

The tiger oats are whole oats with a balancer (but more expensive).

In may case I use bruised oats for my veteran, as she has missing teeth I feed them soaked.

A couple of our polo ponies are on oats - we use rolled oats. We just feed them straight, no soaking or anything. Does give them extra petrol but if you're looking for that extra sparkle try Power & Performance. Some of the forum users recommended it to me for one of my mares who was lacking energy and wow - it has been amazing! So much so that all the ponies are on it now they're coming into a big tournament, its really given them some added oomph!

I already feed p&P but it's not really effective on my boy.

My local tack shops mainly stock brand name feeds - they don't tend to do the cheaper basic bags.
