Hi all

Been looking at the point two air jackets and saw they have a hybrid the air jacket but on top of a body protector which sound lighter than having two separate pieces. What's your thoughts on each which do you prefer?

Also I know the air jacket needs to be worn on top off a body protector. Does it HAVE to be a race safe or can it be any body protector that is level 3 of course?

Thank you!!

It can be any BP.

For non-FEI stuff I think your best bet is separates, because you can take the airjacket off and continue after a fall if you want!

An air jacket does not need to be worn over a back protector- only for BE (the cross-country phase)
It's perfectly acceptable to wear the air jacket over normal riding wear.
I have only ever worn my air jacket WITHOUT a back protector on underneath and have fallen off a couple of times- no winding, felt fine. But I have the HitAir not the P2. I'm really pleased with mine.

I use my air jacket daily, however for cross country I use my air jacket with a racesafe body protector underneath (but it can be any level 3 body protector).

However, I check with show centres as to what they would prefer me to wear.

Obviously, wearing a body protector and an air jacket on top can be a bit bulky, but I still have total movement and I have found that whether I am wearing both together or separately, they have really helped :)
