Which pad for a treeless?

Haha, bet you're all getting sick of me :P

Anyway, saddle sorted, girth sorted, t-bar stirrups sorted, I just need a saddle pad, but I'm stumped as to what I'm looking form.

I know I need spinal clearance in a treeless (Libra Trec Original), but I am not sure what exactly I'm looking form.

Can some kind soul direct me towards the right kind of pad please :o
 
I'd usually get the one by the manufacturer of your saddle, as they're usually the best choice.

I've got a barefoot pad, they're really well constructed.
 
Libra recommend a polypad, which isn't suitable imo. I used an equitex with my Libra trec, did the job nicely.
 
I use the Polypad designed for treeless saddles (http://www.polypads.co.uk/acatalog/Treeless_Pad_Pony.html) under my Libra. I have both thicknesses and am still kicking myself for not taking a photo of my boy's sweat pattern after my last fast ride - it was awesome! He was wet everywhere under the saddle except a perfectly dry and smooth path down his spine. Very impressed. The Regular Thickness one is ok for schooling and short hacks but I prefer the Extra Thickness one for longer/faster hacks and jumping.
 
They're shaped to suit the saddles, are either seamless or have a flat seam along the spine and most have extra padding either side of the spine (or the ability to adjust the padding to adjust the fit).

My favourite treeless pads are the Haf Airnet pads but they don't make them small enough for the 15" Libra that I have on my pony.

And happy to report, I just realized the saddle I won/bought comes with a Polypad Full Treeless Pad! I didn't even realize lmao! Even more of a bargain :D
