which pad is best??????????

hi can any1 help me out my 6 yr old gelding has no muscle at all! hes not bin worked for some time and when he was it was for hacking.
trouble with him is he has hardly and withers as he is a IDx the saddle if perfect width wise but tips forward when im on board! he had his back checked the other day and has sore points on 1 side where the back of the saddle fits due to no muscle and never b4 having back checked! the lady said gettin some sort of pad that lifts front but also has raisers at the back any ideas wot i can use i only have a rear raiser from old horse

Not sure if it would be best but I love my pro-lite pad, had it years, perhaps ask the saddler if a pro lite may be a good bet

Get a saddler out to check the saddle - it might be that it can be flocked.

Ditto, also love the Prolite pad. And also the GFS back saver pad thing. Not entirely sure about the back and wither raising though. Maybe a gel eze pad? xx

its a synthectic saddle the main thing is to raise the front so im not puttin all my weight on the front! he has a sheep skin half pad as well as saddle cloth
some1 said a front raiser is that good idea???????????

Le Mieux do a halfpad that you can add pads of different thicknesses to both the front and back of the half pad. But it can be quite expensive. I'd maybe get the saddle checked too.

A suber pad would be a good bet for exactly your type of horse, they are pricey but worth it by all accounts.
