i like my equimats. They lock together like a jigsaw and are a piece of cake to cut and fit yourself.

I have the EVA mats from Robinsons. They are really easy to fit and I cut them with a kitchen knife. They are also light so you can carry them yourself.

I have the thick 33 mm ones and they dry instantly when sweeping. I use a thick bed of shavings on them, but lots of people just sprinkle it on and their horses still lie down. Mine are just spoilt (and they love to roll in shavings).

Have fitted all mine out with mats from a company on ebay called 'Midland Mats' - good value for money, excellent service, very pleased with them and easy to fit (by the hubby) !

Another one for equimats - some of the cheap rubber mats are hard and heavy. Equimats are cushioned, last for years, lock together and nice and light for cleaning out.

I liked them so much, now have wall mats aswell.

If you go for a particular make you will end up spending a fortune, it will probably be around £350 per stable (£2800 for all 8)

If you have a look on ebay you will find various mat sellers. Check their feedback prior to any order, also check delivery charges as these mats are very heavy. Only look at mats that are 17-18mm thick. If you have thinner mats they will probably rip inder the weight & twisting & turning the horse foes in the stable. 17mm-18mm will be fine. You should be able toi buy suitable mats at around £25 per mat which will be £150 per stable (£1200 for all 8) plus delivery. As you can see that's alot cheaper. They aren't difficult to fit. I've had mine down for 4 years with no problems at all & I've got a 16h2" Hann x TB on them.

Equimmats are superb, some of ours are 10 years old, even with big cobs with road nailed shoes.
.I just use a half bed of absorbent shavings, half a bale per week per horse in at night.
Give them a call, as for a whiole block, I am sure they will negotiate a discount,
They are easy to fit as are lightwieght.
I can lift a full mat wiht one hand.
The green colour keeps the stables looking bright and clean too, and no nasty smells or rubber smell.

What they both say AND they are soooooo much lighter to move around than the thiner black ordinary mats plus they don't move once you put them down. They are a tiny bit more expensive than normal ones but well worth it. Speak to them you may get a discount for the large quantity you want.
