Which rubber matting?

Hi, we have easimats in our stables, they are very light, non porous and easy to lay. Google easimats and you will find them, I think they are about 37.00 a mat and that is for the thickest ones 34mm.
 
EVA floor matting but it is £54 a mat but its light weight to lift unlike normal rubber matting which is a pain in the arse to move... or shall I say pain in the back...

also have normal bubble top rubber matting I bought seconds ones as they are only £24 for a 6ftx 4ft mat rather than £39
 
I've got the traditional heavy rubber matting as I thought I'd need a big bed on the EVA ones. I'm happy I chose them cos it takes minutes to muck out and they're thick and keep him off the concrete. It's worth the trauma of heaving them in!

I've had the thick ones and now have the lightweight ones (not sure what make as YO supplied them). They are fabulous! There is no noticeable difference between them and the heavy ones once they are down in the stable - you certainly don't need a thicker bed. And being able to lift them if need be is fab! We sold all our old ones - if I ever need to buy my own again I will get the lightweight ones.
 
I've always used the traditional solid rubber matting & always gone for a mat that is a minimum of 17-18mm thick. If you go for the cheaper thinner mats you will find that if you have a horse on them then with the twisting & turning the hrse will end up ripping them. You may get away with thinner mats if you have a small pony.

I've never gone for a particular make, I've gone for 17mm thick x 6' x 4' & they've always been fine. These size of mats you should get for around £30 each plus carriage. The are very heavy & will be delivered on a pallet.
