Which rug weight have you got on your horses?

mine (warmblood x cob) but clipped last year and coat hasnt grown...! is currently in a 220 overnight and today in a no fill and this afternoon naked....

so obvs the 220 is now redundant... but what to put on??

140 or no fill??

feel almost mean putting nothing on her on the 1st march!!

My boy is a shire tbx and has a chaser clip that hasn't fully grown back yet, he is out during the day and at the moment he is naked :D if it gets a bit chillier he'll be out with his no fill turnout and neck. At the moment at night he is in a thermatex with no neck.

IDxTB, good doer who I would like to keep the weight off for as long as possible (he's looking reasonably lean for him and I want it to stay that way!)... hunter clipped. In during the day with either nothing on if warm enough or just a cotton sheet on. Out late afternoon and overnight with either a no fill turnout (neck cover) over top of cotton sheet, or if it's likely to drop to 0C he'll have a 70g on.

He has adlib hay in the field so can keep himself warm eating. If he's overrugged he gets terrible heat rash so I'd rather he was cool!

so mabey a 140 at night?

i go down once shes out (on part livery) and swap rugs so shes not chilly in the morning!,,,

not sure if to just leave her with a no fill on :o (she hates wearing rugs anyhow)

but she has had a full clip so i do feel mean!
thanks for replying :)
