I am hoping to enter some low level local ridden hunter classes and have 2 saddles (both wrong i know !) and am not sure which would be best - one is a black wintec GP and one is a black albion K2 dressage. OH says I am not allowed to buy a new brown WH one !!. Which of my existing ones would be better to use ??. thanks for any advice.

Use whichever one looks best on your horse, and if the judge is likely to ride, use the one that would be most comfy for the judge. You would be amazed at some of the things I've been expected to sit on in the past!

I would say the dressage saddle. Because you dont need to jump, it will show the shoulder off better than the GP

thanks . my wintec 2000 is the comfiest saddle I have ever ridden in and has a bigger seat which might help if the judge is male ( I had a bigger seat pre weight watchers when I got it ! ). hadnt thought of that . but perhaps the dressage if definately no judge riding as he goes better in it. He is a bit of a git for anyone else to ride anyway so maybe I'll look out for that. leathers and stirrups ok for man as I share him with husband.

Go for the dressage saddle, a GP wintec will make you stand right out in the ring, and dont forget to take your numnah off!
