Comments please, I love the wintecs's and have had numerous but I am torn between two saddles on ebay, purely because newer Thorowgoods tend to get good comments.

1st one reserve is £150 Thorowgood Griffen bought in the summer, little use immaculate, unable to change gullet

2nd one slightly older Wintec 2000 GP but again very good condition, cair with changeable gullet - starting bid is £150 and But it now is £210 but I think that is a little bit ambitious!!

This saddle is for my 5yr old who is still changing shape, my new Tekna no longer fits now that his shoulder is building muscle.

If you don't like synthetics please no negative comments.......

go for the one you will feel most comfortable riding in ans suit your horse best!

wintec may last longer due to changeable gullet, so no need to go buy another in 6 months time!
thorowgoods are a much lighter saddle and i think give better contact with horse

both will be re-saleable as long as you keep in good condition.

i dont like wintecs or cair... cair is horrible i have a true hatred for it and i think wintecs feel, look and depending on the saddle even ride cheap...

thorowgood saddles are okay, used to have one and now have what is known as the leather version (kent and masters) and its a nice saddle. the only problem with the griffin is that you cant change the gullet... would it be worth you waiting for a T4 to come up? they are nice saddles if not have you looked into kent and masters?
