Which horse shampoo rinses out the quickest?
We may need to bath the shire next week, but we will have to do it in the field, which means carting water up there.
So i need a shampoo that will wash out cleanly without using gallons of water ( no hosepipe)

Any recomondations please??

I use 'Dirty Beastie' and that seems to work well - you just mix it in with the water and sponge it on - works wonders, especially on my grey, who when she came in today could be mistaken for a bay skewbald, she was that muddy!

I use Soda Crystals gets them beautifully clean and doesn't get frothy and it cleans brushes and all grooming kit easily. Supposed to be good for horses that have skin problems with other shampoo's:D

I use car & day & martin gallop extra strength shampoo at work and this seems to rinse pretty well!
Personally i use head and shoulders on my mares mane and tail only, and that rinses pretty quick!!

Really??
I have used soda crystals on the end of white tails, but not on a horse as i thought it would be too harsh, and make them itchy.
I also wash headcolllars in it, cos it gets rid of the grease.

When I was taking my BHS stages that was what the college used and told it is quite mild but I find it great for getting stains off our grey. I just make up a mild solution and sponge on then rinse off.:)

Interesting, i must look into it.
It would be handy as i always have a bag under the sink. :)
