I am moving out of the big smoke and back to the countryside so can finally get a new horse. I am moving to a new area though and where I lived previously I had real problems finding a nice yard. Would you look for the yard first or the horse? I don't know whether to find a yard and then hope there's space. Or find the horse and then find somewhere with room.

The yard, definately. No point if finding a horse you really like then struggling to find a decent yard. Round us it's pretty busy and quite a few of the yards are full or have waiting lists, the ones which have availability might be poor so ensuring you have a good place to go is important and may also dictate the type of horse you can buy if you can only find turnout?
