Good morning!

Looking to the future today...

I am looking for a little advice on what ridden classes (local or count) my horse and I would be suitable for.

My horse is an unregistered Welsh D x TB (10 years old)

Due to this I know we would be unsuitable for many of the classes especially if we were to look at county level.

We are not looking to win but purely get some positive experiences under our belts.

Thanks in advance!

He is 15.2hh

He is a very brave jumper

The local shows in my area used to run a Riding Club Horse class that he would have been ideal for as a jump was part of the individual show.

I'm sure the showing people will be able to give you much better advice when they see the thread but they may want better photos. :)

Start at local level - RC horse, riding horse, small hunter and working hunter, and see how you both get on.
Hard with Covid probably to do this as a spectator this year but ordinarily would recommend visiting a few county shows to watch and learn too - look at type, way of going and turnout (of horse and rider) - even if deciiding from that, that county level wasn't going to be for you or the horse, you'lll pick up lots of tips to help you with local showing.
