I'm late in the year but going to put my mare in foal to one of the above if I can organise it in time!!!

She is a DWB, skewbald see picture below

She is looking rather hairy here, as middle of winter!

The stallion has to have good front legs and feet, as my mare is slightly over at the knee and also the bum area needs to be improved. She isn't that good a mover infront so need to improve on that also. She has the soppiest temperament ever, but she is quite a gassy ride!

I'm looking to breed an event type horse as a keeper so if you can help at all please do so!! Thanks v. much.

not much help (just warning you)

but i've known PrimitiveFaerie Tale aka Owen for years and i can honnestly say he's the most un-stallion like horse i've ever met (if that makes sense )

i know J has had a lot of success with the youngsters and all the ones i have met have been lovely characters and quite a few of my friends have borrowed them for PC events proving them to be safe and reliable but have to say they can shift - the one Beth has rode can get penalties for going too fast despite only being 15hh - normally in top 5 in jrns with either 20's/ low 30's dressage which i think most seem to do

sorry can't say what confo is like as don't really pay attention at that just see them at events

i think you'd be guarenteed a coloured too

good luck with your mare and what ever you choose :)

I would say if the choice is between those two then I woudl fo Faerie Tale too as Pioneer might be bred to the hilt, etc but he never cut it in comp and none of his progeny have done it for me sorry.

Hi, I have seen some really unfair comments on the forum about Primmore's Pioneer. The horse got to Advanced very easily before retiring to stud when Mayhill died and the Bleekman's needed a replacement. Chris King described him as one of the easiest at an event. I have one of his first foals who is now 14 and is one of the nicest horses you could come across.

I went down to Whorridge to look at P_P, and in the end chose No Limit, who's a better horse altogether, and has produced some remarkable stock.

wi38ch, I'm sorry, but others are entitled to their opinions. P_P would attract more attention, and a better book of mares but for the two other "Mighties" which stand against him, and are also with the Bleekman's, No Limit and Grannex.

Which ever horse others use, I can heartily support Whorridge Stud, their ethics and work systems are honest, straightforward, and highly effective. The Bleekmans are also of world class experience and a delight to deal with.

I've never seen Primitive Fairy Tale, and know very little of him, so I won't comment.

Alec.

Looking at the pedigree,in Prinmore's Pioneer you would get bloodlines to Primitive Fairy Tale via Ben Faire, and wondered if choosing this horse you get the best of both bloodlines?
