Which stirrups? What's the difference?

I am wanting to buy some new stirrups for new saddle, but I have just been searching on the internet and I have no idea what the difference is in them all. What's the difference between fillis stirrups and hunting stirrups and knife edge stirrups? The ones I have on my other horses saddle are Eldonian ones, which are fine, so I thought I would buy some of those again, but I don't have a clue which model I have....any thoughts??? Thanks

I have bought a pair of mega bucks susension/sringy ones for when I'm back in the saddle, thinking that I'll need something that is easy on my poor knee....the ones I have currently are some 'fake' sprenger type ones that I got off Ebay - I hate fixed styrrups now!

I too have springy stirrups, I love them and have been surprised at the difference they've made.

ditto, the Sprenger ones are fantastic, there's no going back imho.
