I am experimenting at the moment as I have bought some Baileys Lo cal balancer as my horses are now on haylage and they don't need extra feed but I want to make sure they have all necessary vitamins and minerals.
However my horses are big, about 750Kg each, so the balancer amounts to feed are greater than average which means it won't last me long for 3 big horses, so expensive.
I am now wondering if it would be cheaper to buy a supplement instead and put into chaff or barley; Does anyone do this, if so which supplement do you use?
I have seen advertised the Equine Answers "365 complete" which looks like it would fit the bill and would be cheaper than using a balancer.
Any advice appreciated.
