Looking at buying a trailer for my 15hh welsh cob, will be towing with Discovery tdi so just wondered what peoples experiences or the Rice and Sinclair trailers have been?

Not keen on Ifors as they tend to give a bumpier ride because of leaf springs (just personal opinion!)

Also cant seem to find that Sinclair Trailers exist as a company anymore so perhaps coming across parts may be a problem?

Any comments welcomed!

Thanks! :)

Sinclair got taken over by Pegasus, who got taken over by Wessex, who also got taken over within the last year but I can't remember who by.... "Country" something. We had a Sinclair trailer for a while earlier in the year, we did a bit of a refurb job on it and whilst it was lovely and light to tow, it didn't strike us as being as sturdy as a good ole Rice or Ifor so we sold it on - they don't seem to make them that shape any more - or if they do they are very much a rarity. My recommendation would deffo be to go for the Rice as they are still made so at least you can get parts or advice.

I've just sold my rice europa trailer as not towing anymore. But it was a really lovely trailer, I've had it since i was 14 years old and could push it around myself when it was on good ground. We didnt have a rice garage local to us so just used to take it to our car garage for general servicing of brakes and such like and then take it to rice about once a year for an 'mot'. Never had a problem getting parts for it, never had a problem with it in general :)

PS
The lady that brought it actually said that she had an ifor williams and her horse everytime it traveled in in was kicking out at the partition. Vet said that it was to do with the suspention/springs! so thats was the only reason she was buying it. I think i would only ever have a rice or richardson tbh though :)
