Bateson Deauville.....well built, tows beautifully, light & airy, can take up to 17h & if you ever need any advice or parts the service is great. They hold their value really well also. I had one for years & never had any problems. I eventually sold it, first one who came to view it bought it...I needed a lorry so it had to go.
The new type of IforWilliams (or how ever its spelt!) don't have a good reputation, I've been told this by a few people including the local Landrover dealership owners. They are good looking but the quality has been compromised. The old I4Williams, on the other hand, are great ours has been going for years and never had a problem!
She definitely wants to buy new, not discussed how much she is willing to spend but don't think money is an issue for her as long as she gets something decent and reliable.
If I had unlimited money and a good towcar, I'd have a bateson ascot/deauville no question. Great trailers.
Don't really like ifors- have heard dodgy stuff about the new ones going mouldy, don't have very good suspension- very rattly, and I don't like the left side unload.
Chevals are good if you don't have much towing weight, and only need a single trailer, but have heard that they are not as well finished.
Think the rice are heavy and don't look as good, richardson seem ok, but don't know that much about them tbh.
I would reccommend the cheval. We tow with the mazada 6. It takes my 16.2hh tb comfortably, plenty of headroom. As for the finish of it we have no issues. The inside walls are padded for comfort and protection. The trailer is sturdy and well designed. We have found no design faults and have been using this trailer for 6 months now. Would highly recommend the cheval.
