Can someone please tell me which types of cobs I have, as I would like to take them low level showing (if covid allows) this year? Also can you give me tips on how each type should be tuned out with regards to mane/feathers etc.
I’m pretty sure my 12.1h coloured would be classed as a ‘traditional cob’, but is he too small?
Then my 15h palomino (looks grey because he’s fully clipped) was sold to me as an Irish cob cross. Although the saddle fitter said his rib cage resembles the shape of a Connemara’s, and he was bred in County Galway by a man that breeds Connies ??, however his breeding is unknown on his passport. But as a cob, would he fit into the traditional, native or show cob category? Or none, because he’s a crossbreed (bearing in mind I’m talking about low level, local shows)?
Pictures attached.
