Trying to find the right bit for showjumping my big gelding, having tried a few I’ve narrowed it down to a universal, which he goes really nicely in, just sometimes still pulls down a bit on the corners in between the jumps. My universal is just a bog standard one with a lozenge and fairly thick mouthpiece. Wondering if something a bit thinner with an angled lozenge might just give me a touch more response.
(He’s 10, very well-schooled on the flat, I have a good trainer etc, back, saddle teeth etc all done, just gets a bit keen jumping and he’s a big chap and I’m a small person!!)
