As title ^^^

Fed up of our rubbish summer and getting soaked. With winter on its way I don't hold out much hope of it improving so I am now on the hunt for some breathable, comfortable waterproof trousers.

I do not want chaps as I have these and still end up with a soggy bum.

I do not want thermal/fleece lined/etc as I have thermal breeches (an base layers) for when the cold comes and need to be able to wear these when it is still warm/mild including.

They need to be bulk free, preferably non-rustly, suitable for schooling, jumping and fast work and non-slippy (I ride a lot of bouncy/gymnastic horses so stickability is key!)

They must not leak (I've tried the standard over trousers in the style of the pack-a-macs and never again.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

Ornelli Prosperi Over Breeches 10 years old washed and re proofed countles times still Fully waterproof and they dont have the bulk of overtrousers but they are not cheap I think mine were about £60- £65 all those years ago.

Ornella prosperi waterproof overtrousers. Love them! Have practically lived in them this summer with all the rain we've had. Non-rustly too- important on breakers! But they are expensive, but imo worth every penny.

Not adverse to spending money if they do the trick!

Equally will not rule out cheaper options just because they are just that iykwim.

Will have a look at those mentioned (and any others suggested)

Splash Jods water restant rather than WP 1st pair very good second pair pretty much useless and I religously followed all the washing instructions and hot tumble dried and these have now worn out in the nether region. I am now deliberating about a third pair probably wil get some and If they dont perform will send them back. As they repell water and if they are worn inside long rubber riding boots and wellies they can quicken the desent of rain water to your feet.
