I'm taking my 18 year old pony on a journey of about 5 hours, and I know I'll get mixed views, but I was wondering whether to bandage her legs, as she'll be standing still for so long, or just use travel boots, what do you use for long journeys ?

I moved my old horse about 80 miles when he was 21, took about 3 hours and I bandaged his legs and taped them well. I just felt he had a little more support with bandages.

i would use bandages if your horse is prone to filling up, but if not, i would just use travel boots, good luck with the journey

Id say use what she's used to. I tend to bandage for long journeys (5+ hours) when mine normally are booted. I think they're legs stay cooler than in big padded boots but make sure you dont bandage too tightly and tape over them so they cant come undone.
