Soon I will be moving to a new area and have found two yards which have space but which should I choose?
Horse is a 15hh Friesian cross who is currently hacking out and doing light schooling. He's currently on part livery due to work commitments and is part stabled and is a good do-er.
1. grass livery which is two acres of rough grazing split into two with a field shelter, lovely off round hacking, grass school, no job service though. £152 per month
2. stable and grazing, small herd turnout 24/7 if desired, quiet lanes to get to bridleways, can ride in field, decent amount of storage, flexible job service. £216 a month.
Both places are friendly and hay is brought from the farmer who owns them. Neither have automatic waterers so would have to use hose. Would need to poo pick at option one. At option two they are purchasing harrows so wouldn't have to poo pick when this has happened.
Which would you choose and why?
